You begin each season with every player at your disposal. No draft to prepare for. No salary cap. Each week you select your lineup — and once a player's game ends, they're added to your Burn List, gone forever. You won't see them as an option the following week or any week after that. The burden rests squarely on your shoulders to pick the right players at the right time — every week, every decision, every pick.

Once your lineup locks in, it has one purpose: earn as many points as possible and climb as high as possible in the weekly rankings that drive your season standing. When the final game of that week ends, every player in your lineup is measured against contestants across the nation. That's the end of their story with you. They're officially burned for the rest of the season — honored? Maybe. Spent? Absolutely. A one‑week hero or a one‑week zero; their chapter is closed forever.

But the march continues. As more players are burned each week, fielding a competitive lineup gets harder — but every contestant faces the same reality. The ones who rise are the ones thinking three weeks ahead. Strategic moves and finding those diamonds in the rough will separate contenders from pretenders, and catapult those who've positioned themselves into legitimate title contenders.

Pick by pick. Choice after choice — Build. Strategize. Earn. Burn.

This isn't a sprint — it's an all‑out grind.

The Score

Lock your lineup and let it ride. Real games. Real stats. Real points.

When the week closes, the board tells the truth. Your points land. Your weekly rank updates. The entire field sees exactly where they stand — no hiding, no excuses, no adjustments after the fact.

You picked your squad. However the burn treated you this week there is no looking back, only marching forward.

The Ranking System

To stand alone at the top when the season ends, you'll need to maneuver your roster like a chess grandmaster — every move precisely placed, deployed at exactly the right moment in time.

Here's how the rankings work:

• 1.Each week you are ranked against the entire field based on the points your lineup scores for that week. Every contestant. Every week. Competing for position.
• 2.Ties are handled fairly and precisely. If two or more teams finish the week with identical points, all tied teams receive the same rank. The next team below them slots in accordingly — if the top two teams tie at 1st, both receive a rank of 1 and the next team receives a rank of 3. (The 1224 ranking system)
• 3.Your weekly rank is your weekly score. Finish 1st — you earn 1 ranking point. Finish 50th — you earn 50. Just like in golf, a lower score is better.
• 4.Rankings compound week over week. The following week the same process plays out, and your new rank is added to your running total. The pressure builds with every passing week.
• 5.The lowest cumulative ranking score wins. At season's end, the team that has accumulated the fewest ranking points is crowned the Earn N' Burn Champion. Consistent excellence is the only path to the top.
• 6.Prizes are based on final cumulative ranking, with the prizes posted in the Official Prize Breakdown Page.

How you build your team week to week is what divides the contenders from the pretenders.

If there is a tie at season's end, here is how it gets resolved — in this order:

• 1.Total ENB Points — more points wins
• 2.#1 Weeks — most weekly wins wins
• 3.Top‑10 Weeks — most top‑10 finishes wins
• 4.Best Single Week — highest single‑week score wins
• 5.☠️ Still dead even? Then it's settled the old‑fashioned way — a sword duel to the death... or you can just split the prize.

Things to Consider

The ranking system changes everything about how you approach your weekly lineup. To stay competitive throughout the season you need to field a solid lineup as many weeks as possible — not just explode out of the gate and fade into the background.

It might be tempting to load up on superstars in Week 1, grab a high ranking, and feel great about yourself. But you've just burned ten of the best players in a single week. What follows is a free fall — Tom Petty style — and it'll happen faster than you think.

This also isn't a contest where the team that accumulates the most total points across the season wins. Just like when a team is coming off a 56‑7 blow‑out the following week's game still starts at 0‑0. The same thing applies in this contest. It's about your ranking week after week after week. That distinction adds a layer of strategy and gamesmanship: pacing matters, timing matters, and knowing when to unleash your best weapons matters more than simply having them.

The Burn List

Every pick leaves a mark. The Burn List is your intel board — tracking every player you've deployed, organized by position, the week they were burned, and the points they earned.

When the week closes and it's time to build your next lineup, head to your Burn List first. Every player who has been burned disappears from your selection dropdown — gone from your options for the rest of the season. What remains is your active arsenal. The deeper into the season you go, the shorter that list gets.
