The Burn Barrel

The Burn Barrel is a weekly, single-week fantasy football challenge. Each NFL week is a fresh, fully independent contest: ENB publishes a new set of curated boxes, contestants build a lineup by selecting one player from each box, and the highest-scoring lineup for that week wins. It is a game of skill; outcomes are determined by each contestant's player selections and football judgment.

Each week, ENB publishes 16 curated boxes. Each box contains 10 eligible NFL players spanning multiple positions. The boxes are refreshed every week, so every week presents a new puzzle. A lineup lock countdown to the weekly deadline is displayed on the board.

Select exactly one player from each of the 16 boxes, producing a 16-player lineup. You may change picks before the applicable player or lineup lock. The submit button remains disabled until all 16 boxes are filled and the position requirements are satisfied.

Your 16 picks must collectively satisfy the following position quotas (total 16):

• Quarterback (QB) × 3
• Running Back (RB) × 4
• Wide Receiver (WR) × 5
• Tight End (TE) × 2
• Kicker (K) × 2

Because each box contains mixed positions, meeting the quotas is a strategic exercise: a live position tracker shows which positions are short or over, and the affected boxes are highlighted so you can swap to fix them. The submit button unlocks only once every position requirement is satisfied.

Each lineup's weekly score is the combined ENB Points earned by its 16 players. Automated third-party feeds are used as scoring inputs. ENB applies the published scoring rules uniformly, may run manual data refreshes, and finalizes results after scheduled feeds and applicable stat corrections under the source and audit rules below. ENB does not promise real-time scoring.

Weekly scoring becomes final at 12:00 p.m. ET on the Wednesday following the applicable NFL week (the "Stat Correction Cutoff"). ENB will incorporate stat corrections reflected in its designated sources before the Stat Correction Cutoff and will not reopen a weekly result for a later source correction, except to correct an ENB clerical, calculation, or data-ingestion error in applying data that was available from a controlling source before the cutoff. Sleeper is the controlling source for player statistics other than touchdown distance. ESPN and any other third-party touchdown-distance feeds are initial scoring inputs only. Touchdown distance is determined under the audit procedure below, and the distance established under that procedure controls for ENB scoring. Before the Stat Correction Cutoff, ENB will conduct a documented weekly audit of every touchdown and will correct or supply touchdown-distance data when the distance is objectively verifiable from the official NFL gamebook or official NFL play-by-play, or, if neither states the distance, from two independent publicly available contemporaneous play-by-play sources that agree on the distance; the same verification standard will be applied uniformly to every scoring play and without regard to its effect on any participant's score, rank, or prize outcome, and ENB's touchdown-distance determinations are final at the Stat Correction Cutoff and will not be reopened based on information first published or identified after that cutoff. If touchdown distance cannot be verified under that procedure by the Stat Correction Cutoff, no touchdown-distance bonus is awarded for that play.

If an NFL game is postponed and completed before the Stat Correction Cutoff, scoring from that game is included. If a scheduled NFL game is canceled, abandoned, or postponed beyond the Stat Correction Cutoff and the controlling sources do not report final statistics for that game by the cutoff, no ENB Points from that game count for that weekly contest. A game that has begun but is later suspended remains subject to this same rule.

Each player locks at the earlier of (a) five (5) minutes before that player's scheduled kickoff, if the player's game is scheduled to begin before 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, or (b) 12:55 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Accordingly, players in Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and early-Sunday or international games lock five (5) minutes before their respective scheduled kickoffs. At 12:55 p.m. ET on Sunday, all players who have not already locked become locked, including players in the Sunday late-afternoon slate, Sunday Night Football, and Monday Night Football.

Once a player locks, that player may not be newly selected, removed, replaced, or otherwise changed for that weekly contest. Contestants may continue to edit only unlocked players until the final 12:55 p.m. ET Sunday lock. After that time, no lineup change is permitted.

For purposes of this Section, "scheduled kickoff" means the then-current kickoff time reflected in ENB's contest system based on the applicable NFL schedule. If a kickoff is moved to an earlier time before the player locks, the revised kickoff time controls. Once a player has locked, a later delay or rescheduling of that game does not reopen the player.

After the week's games and applicable stat corrections, ENB tallies each valid lineup. The eligible lineup with the highest ENB Points is the weekly winner.

An exact tie for the highest score creates co-winners. Each tied weekly winner receives a separate ENB Burnt Scroll under the Official Rules. No lottery, random drawing, coin flip, or other sponsor-administered random mechanism is used to resolve the tie.

Each week stands entirely on its own: fresh boxes, a fresh lineup, and a fresh winner. Unlike ENB's season-long contest, the Burn Barrel has no cross-week carryover and no season-long burn mechanic — a player selected in one week is fully available again the next week, and results do not accumulate across weeks.

This Module covers gameplay. Entry and prizes are controlled by the applicable official rules:

• Any future paid version requires separate final rules, legal review, state controls, and processor clearance. No paid-version term applies to the free 2026 Burn Barrel.
